WHITE SAGE SMUDGE STICK
This beautiful species of Sage comes from the coastal mountains of California. Native Americans of the Southwest use its pungent aroma for purification prior to healing ceremonies. White Sage is said to bring peace and harmony, which is why it was included in a special incense mixture known as 'White Buffalo' that was used at tribal gathering. White Sage is also used for consecration and cleansing of ritual tools.
Smudging is a ceremony used to clear away negative energies and spirits practiced originally by Native Americans. You may burn a smudge stick directly from the end (extinguish carefully afterwards), or break off fragments to burn in a container. You do not have to burn all the White Sage Smudge Stick at once, burn as much or as little as you feel necessary. When smudging you can chant or say a prayer whilst gently wafting the smoke over you and the area you wish to cleanse. you can use your hand or a feather to do this. Whilst you are doing this, let your mind 7 heart open so you can feel a connection to a higher spiritual power.
